William Ray Estes
Funeral Time: Monday, January 24th at 10:30AM
William Ray Estes, 86, husband of the late Sharon Mackey Estes, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Lexington Country Place. He was born March 28, 1935 in Winchester to the late James Clyde Estes and Lucille Mastin Todd. Mr. Estes attended the University of Kentucky; was a former member of Trinity Baptist Church where he had been a Deacon and led the bus ministry; he retired from IBM, Lexmark, and Sears Auto Service. He loved fishing and Bible study. He is survived by his daughters, Valerie Perry (Peter), Karen Pendleton (Mark), Brenda Smith (Chris); step-daughters, Laura Bryant (Kevin) and Christy Ray (Chris); grandchildren, Stephen Perry, Matthew Perry, Bradley Smith, Isabelle Smith, Jonathan Underwood, Braydon Ray, Laeken Ray and Olivia Bryant; and numerous relatives. Services will be 10:30 AM Monday at Kerr Brothers – Harrodsburg Road with burial following in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Sunday and 9:30 -10:30 AM Monday at the funeral home.
