William Oliver "Ollie" Wallace
Funeral Time: Tuesday, October 19th at 12:00PM
William Oliver “Ollie” Wallace Jr., 78, husband of Carol Dearing Wallace, died Wednesday October 13, 2021. Born on October 5, 1943 in Lexington, he was the son of the late William Oliver and Edith Mae Jenkins Wallace. Ollie was a retired Yellow Freight truck driver and had been a driver for Federated Transportation. Ollie was a member and deacon of Grace Baptist Church, was a member of Teamster’s Local 651 for over forty years, loved to fish especially at Herrington Lake, loved people, with an innate ability to draw them to him, would help anyone and loved to talk. Additional survivors include two sons, Ed Tomlinson(Gillian)of Smyrna, TN and Scott Wallace of Lexington; one daughter, Cyndi Wallace of Georgetown; nine grandchildren, Lace’, Mia, Ian, Brandon, Ashley, Katie, Bethany, Austin and Rachel; twelve great-grandchildren; and his sister, Brenda Pleasant of Winchester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dottie Neivus and Lula Marshall. Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 19, 2021 at 12:00pm at Kerr Brothers-Main Street by Rev. Steve Price. Burial will follow in the Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-7pm Monday at the funeral home. Contributions are suggested to Grace Baptist Church, 811 Bryan Ave., Lexington KY 40505.
