Piersawl, Ella Shackelford, 66, wife of Carl D. Piersawl, died Sun. July 25, 2010 at her residence. Born in Winchester, KY and a resident until 1971 when she and her family moved to Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Frank Shackelford, Sr. and Bessie Bell Shackelford. Mrs. Piersawl was a graduate of Oliver Street School, Winchester High School, and Lexington Business School. Mrs. Piersawl was a member of First Baptist Church in Winchester and three words to sum up her life would be: God / Family / Courage. In addition to her husband survivors include two daughters, Dina Rochelle Piersawl, Chicago, IL and Carla Francene Piersawl, Memphis, TN; a son, Kevin (Deanna) Piersawl, Seattle, WA; a grandson, Jaxson Douglas Piersawl, Seattle, WA. Funeral services will be 1 pm Fri. at First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., Winchester, KY 40391 by Rev. Marvin O. King. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Thurs. at the church. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. in charge of the arrangements.
