George Ostgard
George E. Ostgard, 97, widower of Helen Ostgard, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Hospice Care Center. Born in Portland, OR, he was a son of the late Edward and Bernice Ostgard. He was retired from General Electric, and a WW II Navy veteran. Survivors are a daughter, Vicki Harvey, Lexington; two grandchildren, Jason and Amy Harvey, Lexington; a brother, Larry (Nelda) Ostgard, Redman, WA; a sister, Mildred Armstrong, WA; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. is in charge of arrangements. Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504.
