Frances Sergent Cook
COOK, Frances Sergent, 91, widow of William “Bill” E. Cook, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Central Baptist Hospital. Born in Midway, she was the daughter of the late Henry L. and Delora Farmer Sergent. She was a retired budget analyst for the federal government. Survivors include: a son, Charles T. “Tarley” (Anne) Thomas of Lexington; five grandchildren, Tarla, Patricia, John, George and Donna; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry Lester (Jane) Sergent of Pensacola, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: a son, John Lewis Thomas; two brothers, Ed and Gene Sergent; and a sister, Annabel Walden. Services will be private. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
