Betty Gunther
Betty Ruth Love Gunther, 83, widow of George W. Gunther, died Feb. 6, 2010. She was born in West Baden, Indiana on March 25, 1926. She was in the legal profession before becoming a full-time academic wife and mother. Betty was active in the League of Women Voters for many years and, more recently, with the Warm Up America Group. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Gunther Clark and son-in-law, Daniel Clark, both of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; sister, Dorothy Love McConnell, Columbus, Indiana; brother-in-law, Robert Gunther, Bloomington, Indiana; brother-in-law, Fred Gunther, Avon, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Signature Club (formerly the Lansdowne Club), 3256 Lansdowne Drive, Lexington, from one until four in the afternoon.
