Mary Lagrew
Mary Gray Lagrew, 101, widow of Embry D. Lagrew, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009 at Central Baptist Hospital. Born in Winchester, she was a daughter of the late Dallas and Lenora Dunigan. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Christian Church where she was active with the Missionary Society. Survivors are a son, David (Nigal) Crutcher Lagrew, Lexington; five grandchildren, Michael (Courtney) Lagrew, Lexington, Dr. Mary Jane Lagrew, Lexington, Dr. David C. (Nancy) Lagrew, Orange County, CA, Jeffrey F. (Louise) Lagrew, Versailles, and Lisa Lagrew Brock, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; eight great-grandchildren, Jessica Thompson, Whitney Walters, David C. Lagrew III, Joseph Lagrew II, Ensign Jonathan Lagrew, Lucy McCarthy, James Lagrew and Delaney Brock; one great-great-grandchild; and a special niece, Ann Stanley (Tom) Tucker. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Lagrew. A special thanks to Marie, Mary, Lessie, Alberta and other staff of Comfort Keepers. Private family graveside services will be held Friday.
