HAWKINS, Paul J. “Trey”, 47, Lexington, husband of Marlene McCoy Hawkins, died unexpectedly Sat., Apr. 3, 2004. Born in Mayfield, KY, he was the son of Paul and Joyce Ford Hawkins. Mr. Hawkins was a graduate of Mayfield High School and attended Georgetown College and Murray State University. He was an active member of Sigma Chi Fraternity at Murray State and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was the owner/operator of Thermal Foam Insulation Company in Lexington. In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include his sons, Barrett Hawkins, and Jason Nichols and his wife Meghan, all of Lexington; his daughter, Kari Nichols, Lexington; grandson, Tyler Nichols, also of Lexington; brother, Greg Hawkins and his wife, Jennifer, Mayfield, KY; a sister, Dianne Hawkins, San Diego, CA; father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Eloise McCoy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jon and Gina, Monroe and Kathy, David and Sheila, and Shawn and Debbie; nephews, Matthew, Blake, Nicholas, Benjamin, D.J., Jon Andrew, Mark, Patrick, and Andrew; and nieces, Sarah, Molly, Lexie, and Bailey. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jack and Kelpie Ford, paternal grandparents, Paul and Marion Hawkins, and a nephew, Joey Hatfield. Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Wed. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road by Rev. Thomas McCoy with burial to follow in Lexington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Dotson, Blake Johnson, Nick Johnson, D.J. McCoy, Andrew Clapp, Jordan Hogge, Chris Pyle, and Keith Pyle. Honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Galbert, Ben Walmsley, Mychal Dabney, Joe T. Ford, Jr., and Eric Pyle. Visitation will be 5–9 pm Tues.
