Samuel Timothy “Tim” Greer, 74, died January 29, 2023, at U of L Health-Shelbyville in Shelbyville, KY. Born June 12, 1948, in Paintsville, KY, he was the son of the late Guy and Edith Burton Greer of Lexington, KY. Mr. Greer was a graduate of Lafayette High School, [and] attended the University of Kentucky and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He was a huge UK fan and closely followed the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals and the Green Bay Packers. He had been employed in retail as a clothing store manager [clothier] and was of the Christian faith. Survivors include a sister, Sherri (Pat) Greer, Lexington, KY; a brother, Michael (Pat) Greer, Frankfort, KY; a niece, McKinley (Rhoda) Greer; Burlington, N.C., a nephew, Ryen Preston (Sarah) Greer, Hickory, N.C.; a great nephew, Sawyer Greer; a great niece, Sarah Claire Greer, both of Hickory, N.C; two great nieces, Jenna Hawkins and Asher Greer, both of Burlington, N.C.; two aunts; and many cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm Friday, Feb. 3, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10:30 am Fri. until the service at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the Masonic Home for the excellent care that Tim received.
