Mrs. Norma Wright Gray

Norma Wright Gray, 92, widow of Roy Cooper Gray, Jr., passed away on January 16, 2023. She was a loving mother and grandmother, survived by her children Susan Louise Gray, Roy Cooper Gray, III (Anne), Steven Wright Gray (Letitia), and grandchildren Caroline Wright Gray and Cooper Boggess Gray. She was the daughter of Hazel and Malcolm Wright, and was predeceased by her brother Goebel James Wright. Norma was born on December 16, 1930 in Maysville, Kentucky and grew up in Flemingsburg. A graduate of Christian College and the University of Kentucky, she worked as a medical technologist during her first few years of marriage, here in Lexington and Auburn, Alabama. When she and her husband returned to Kentucky in 1964, they bought a small farm in Jessamine County, and there she loved living and made a wonderful home and many joyous memories for her family for over fifty years. She enjoyed cooking for her family, caring for her beloved dogs, playing bridge with her supper club, attending the Keeneland race meets, and watching the Wildcats win! The family wishes to thank Team Agape for their gentle and loving care during this past year. There will be no visitation, and a private service is planned. In lieu of flowers, Norma requests that you support your local Humane Society.
