Emma Jo Roberts
Emma Jo Roberts, 82, wife of 32 years to William M. Roberts, Jr., died Wednesday June 29, 2022. Born on August 22,1939 in Lexington KY, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Beulah Boots Moore. Emma was a 42 year employee of Dixie Cup and enjoyed her retirement years gardening and visiting the beaches of South Carolina. Additional survivors include her sister, Anna Moore; two sons, Alan (Sheryl) Steel and Edgar Conyers; three grandchildren, Taylor Steele, Madison Steele and Tarah Conyers; two nieces, Donna Crespo and Shelly Smith; her “country” family of Mark (Jennifer) Roberts, Paul (Teresa) Roberts and grandkids Thomas and Rayna Roberts; a sister-in-law, Ann Milburn, niece Kelly Nolte and the whole “Ohio Bunch”. Emma Jo was preceded in death by her sister Darliene Haley and brothers Robert, Walter and Winfred. Private services at the North Middletown Cemetery will be held at a later date.
