Mrs. Marian Loretta Zoll
Marian Helming Zoll, 88, of Lexington, KY passed away on May 24, 2022. She was born in Ferdinand, Indiana, the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Helming. She was first loved by her large family. She was preceded in death by her siblings Norbet, Art, Bill, and Almeda. She is survived by her remaining loving sister, Alice Heim, of Sunrise, FL. She was married for 66 years to and survived by James Ralph Zoll on October 15, 1955. She was a loving mother who cherished her family. They had 5 children, Debbie Cook (Donnie), Janet Hacker (Pete Kelder loving friend), Jeff Zoll (Debbie), Greg Zoll (Dorothy) and James Zoll. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Marian was a devout Catholic member of Pax Christi Catholic Church. She was an avid reader, exceptional quilter, a big fan of UK basketball, and loved playing cards. She was an excellent cook who always greeted her family and friends with great food and hospitality. Her banana bread, sugar cookies, and angel food cake were legendary. She volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital and worked in the Fayette County School System in the cafeteria. Her kind hearted nature, warm smile, and laughter were an inspiration to all who knew her. There will be a private service followed by a Celebration of Life at a later date.
