Mr. Alan Hall Ritchie
Alan Hall Ritchie was born on July 23, 1940 in Hazard, Kentucky and died on February 25, 2022 in Lexington, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Eula Ritchie, and a brother, Rufus “Sonny” Ritchie. Alan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith Reinhart Ritchie, a son, Brian Ritchie (Shannon), a daughter, Stacy Ritchie Dixon (Greg), four grandchildren, Luke Ritchie, John Philip Ritchie, Samantha Dixon, and Will Dixon, a sister, Jane Omohundro, and a brother, Michael Ritchie. Alan was retired after a career of more than 30 years with the Federal Highway Administration. He was a dedicated lifelong fan and supporter of University of Kentucky football and basketball. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Bluegrass Hospice Care. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Road. A private service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lexington, Kentucky at a later date.
