Billie Jean Fore
Billie Jean Whitaker Fore died Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the age of 94. She
was born in London, Kentucky on October 26, 1924, to the late William and Alma Ruth
Eads Whitaker. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 66 years, Archie
Robert “Bob” Fore, and two brothers, Carl and James Ward Whitaker. She is survived
by three sons, William Robert (Bonnie) Fore, Thomas Whitaker (Anne) Fore, and James
Johnson Fore; nine grandchildren, Robyn Fore, Jennifer (Craig) Palmer, Heather (Jeff)
Summers, Andrew (Kristin) Fore, Jon Mark (Leah) Fore, James Burgess, Michael
Moonan, Catherine Moonan, and Daniel Moonan; seven great grandchildren, Jerry
Tubbs-Summers, Faith Summers, Isaiah Summers, Kingston Fore, Kale Palmer, Macey
Palmer and Sydney Palmer; one sister, Mary Virginia (Bill) May, and several nieces and
nephews. She graduated from London High School and Sue Bennett College. She lived most of her life in Lexington. Billie was a stay-at-home Mom when her children were young. Later she worked as Office Manager for Doctors Mayer, Karim and Branch for 38 years. She was a past President of the Kentucky Association of Medical Assistants and also an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. She liked to read, travel and work crossword puzzles. Above all she was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, and a faithful Christian lady, being a member of Broadway Christian Church. Funeral Service will be at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road on Monday, November 26 at 12.30 pm. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 25 from 5pm to 8pm. Memorial gifts, in lieu of flowers, may be made in her name to Broadway Christian Church, 187 North Broadway, Lexington, Kentucky, 40507.
